CHRISTMAS APPEAL 2007 – THE SPIRIT OF JOY AND GIVING
Christmas is around the corner. Christmas is a time for reflection, renewal of relationships, holidays, festivities and sharing in the joy of giving with love. Let us spare a thought for the have-nots. There are still segments in our community who are hungry, in pain, sick and suffering. In this context, we humbly appeal to you to include them during this Christmas season. Grant them the greatest gift of all – the gift of love and life.
Your generous donation whether big or small goes a long way in helping someone most in need.
“Health is wealth” – so the saying goes. For patients from poor families who need transplants, your contribution assists them in undergoing operations and chemotherapy. Moreover, as the cost of health care rises, your donation also provides patients from the lower income group with subsidized dialysis treatment for their condition at our 4 centers. For a patient to be endowed with a new lease of life is one of the most precious Christmas gifts to receive.
Single mothers are also empowered as your generosity will enable them to stand up again and regain their self esteem while enabling underprivileged youths to participate in leadership camps thereby instilling core values in them.
Your contribution also provides housing and livelihoods for victims of disaster, while NGOs with resource mobilization programmes are enabled to work with greater resources, accountability and transparency.
Filial piety is also important amongst Nanyang’s concern. With your help, we are able to support senior citizens through the Young-at-Heart Programme, whereby we help sustain them in the Ageing process and to find new inspirations in life.
As Nanyang is committed towards nurturing a caring society, we are in great need of your kind support as your contribution will certainly bring a positive change to the life of another person who is most in need.

所谓“健康就是财富”，我们深切地了解到健康对每一个人的重要性。目前，许多贫困的病人急需进行器官移植以便维持生命，您的义款，将被用于这些不幸人士进行手术和化疗的费用。另外，随着保健服务的成本日渐提高，您的义款，也将用于补贴这些不幸人士接受我们4家诊疗中心保健服务的费用。您的义款，将为这些不幸人士带来希望，这也是他们最珍贵的圣诞节礼物。
您的慷慨解囊，将协助无数的单亲妈妈重拾自尊和自信，迈向美好的将来。另外，您的义款，也将协助贫困的青少年参加领袖激励课程，以便让他们获得宝贵的知识和优良的价值观，为社会栽培更多优秀种子。
您的义款，将有效地协助陷入水深火热之中的灾黎重建家园，我们将配合其他的非政府组织和慈善团体，尽一切努力，动员更多的资源，并贯彻负责任和透明化的救援机制，为这些不幸的灾黎提供更多的援助。
